A bit of an experimental shoot this one for all involved. Anthi wanted to show off some of her make up artistry skills, have a bit of a play around with wigs, and Michelle just wanted a shoot with us both. Sounds like a good recipe for an after work evening shoot.

I started out with my typical setup for these shots. 135cm Octa to give some nice big soft light. The first few are taken this way, but didn’t really have the “pop” in them that I wanted, I liked a few of them which is why you’ll see them below.

We spied a nice divider that could act like a cucoloris. From there I started to play around with hard light by using just an 18cm reflector on my light. Bingo, produced something that I reckon looks pretty cool.

A definite effect that I’m going to have to store away in my mind for future use.

On another note, the black and white photo below was used as Phottix’s photo of the week a few weeks back. Very chuffed at that one.
